My Android phone even automatically backs itself up to my Google Drive account. And to replace their backup drives every 5 years or whenever their MTBF is coming due.ĭon't get me wrong, I love my cloud accounts from pCloud, Mega.nz, & Google Drive when I have access to high-speed broadband Internet.
Some people even put them in safety deposit boxes or some other safe off-site place, etc. I have been recommending for years that people have more than one backup drive and alternate them when backing up in case a drive fails, power outage while backing up, or whatever. Some people take their backup drives home from their business and or from home to their business every day and or night. If you happen to be at your residence or business when a fire or flood is happening, you can take the drive(s) with you. Cloud storage is also useful if you are off site and find you need access to a certain file that is not with you. For a truly secure backup solution you must also have on off site backup.
